On 25th February 2019 the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations)  Chair on Indian Studies was inaugurated at the prestigious University Mohammed V, Rabat, Morocco by the Professor Mohammed Rhachi, President, University Mohammed V, Rabat, in the presence of the Dr. Kheya Bhattacharya, Ambassador of India to Morocco, Professor Jamal Eddine El Hani, Dean of Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences and other dignitaries. Dr. Paromita Das, the first ICCR Visiting Professor of the Indian Studies Chair is offering a course on Indian History and Culture which commenced on 26th February 2019. Those desirous of studying the course cancontact her between 2 - 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday at Room No.15, Block D of the Mohammed V University, Al Irfane campus.

She will also deliver a series of Public Lectures on India at 3 p.m. every Wednesday at the University’s Bab Rouah campus. The first lecture will be on India Today – its History and Civilization. All are welcome to attend the same.
