Invitation for International Buyers to World Food India (WFI) 2024 to be held in New Delhi from 19 to 22 September 2024
Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India is organizing the second edition of the International Mega Food Event "World Food India (WFI) 2024" during 19 to 22 September 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The objective of the fair is to introduce the world to rich Indian food culture as well as promoting investments in the diverse food processing sector of the country.
Previously, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India organized the second edition of the International Mega Food Event "World Food India (WFI) 2023" during November 3-5, 2023, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. WFI 2023 was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and attracted participation from over 90 countries. The major attractions of WFI 2023 was the Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM), where about 715 international buyers visiting from more than 90 countries covering the EU, USA, GCC, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Australian regions, participated in RBSM meetings. More than 16000 Business Meetings were held over the 3-day event and the exporters generated more than 3000 serious trade leads during the event that will be turned into business in the near future.
This year, World Food India 2024 has been envisaged on an even larger scale with an aim to showcase the country as the Food Basket of the World and explore the investment and collaboration opportunities for food processing stakeholders including food processors, technology & equipment manufacturers and suppliers, logistics players, cold chain operators as well as the food retailers.
To take the momentum further, this year also, Ministry of Food Processing Industries envisages to facilitate the RBSM on a larger scale. Business delegations from different countries all over the world are invited to participate in the event.
