ICCR Scholarship Scheme for 2016-17

NOTIFICATION

Indian Council for Cultural Relations has offered 13 slots for the Moroccan students under the Africa Scholarship Scheme for the Academic Year 2016-17 to pursue under-graduate, post-graduate and higher courses in India.  The scholarship includes return economy class airfares to the nearest international airport and train fare to reach the city of study.

Interested students should be fluent in English, should be medically fit and serious about studies.  Before applying, they should do due diligence and research on the specific admission criteria laid down by the various Universities for each subject and ensure that they submit all relevant documentation as required by the Universities, in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the application form.  For details regarding course of study, university, eligibility criteria, the applicants may refer to University Grants Commission (UGC) website (http://www.ugc.ac.in).  They may also refer to the concerned institute’s website for additional information.  It is important to note that applications should be complete in every detail as ICCR will not consider incomplete applications.

Mostly, the universities will have hostel facilities but wherever it is not possible to provide hostel facilities, students are allowed to rent private accommodation with ICCR covering costs to the extent indicated in the Financial Terms & Conditions.   The Financial Terms and Conditions, application forms and other related documents can be downloaded from ICCR’s website www.iccr.gov.inunder students & scholarships.

Please note that the scholarships do not cover admission in Medical/Paramedical (Nursing/Physiotherapy/Anesthesia, etc.) and Fashion courses.   Candidates interested to pursue B.E./B.Tech. courses, should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and this should be reflected in their school certificates.

Interested candidates may submit completed applications to this Embassy through the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation by 07 January 2016 so that it can screen and process the applications before forwarding them to ICCR by the last date which is 15 January 2016. The candidates must send scanned applications by email to amb.rabat@mea.gov.in.
